Community Praise: Enhancing Alignment & Well-being

“There aren’t enough wonderful words to say about Saphi and her private Pilates lessons. 7 months after my first knee replacement I just had my second and my strength, overall fitness and balance are so much better! Saphi carefully plans sessions tailored for my body and provides constant support and encouragement. I see so much improvement in both my form and skills. I can’t wait to start back again after this knee replacement and I expect my progress will be even greater. I highly recommend her!”

Why Pilates is Effective for Posture

Pilates focuses on engaging the deep core muscles, which are crucial for supporting the spine and maintaining proper posture. Regular practice can lead to noticeable improvements in spinal alignment, core strength, and body awareness. In the Pilates studio, we have varied pieces of equipment and choose the ones that will stimulate the most change in the body. In the photo below, we used a combination of barrels for spinal openings, Wunda Chair and Tower for strengthening across 30 lessons.

Overall improved alignment and a more confident posture. (Before on the Left, After on the Right)

  • Stronger upper back muscles, allowing the body to naturally find the proper spinal curve

  • A more defined lower "C" curve, indicating improved lower back strength

  • This enhanced connection will lead to increased mobility in the lower back over time

What sets Saphi apart is her genuine interest in her students’ progress and well-being. She took the time to get to know my body- weak points and areas of strength and developed sessions to meet my goals. She offers personalized guidance and adjustments throughout the class. Her passion, knowledge, and ability to motivate make her an invaluable asset for anyone looking to enhance their fitness journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Saphi to anyone seeking a fulfilling Pilates experience.
